ICSR 2010
After Successfully Holding 1st and 2nd International Conferences on Seismic
Retrofitting, Iranian North-West Retrofitting Center (Iranian Retrofitting
Researchers Ins.) is holding the 3rd International Conference on Seismic
Retrofitting with the focus on Bridge and Lifeline Engineering on 20-22 October
2010, Tabriz-Iran. Further Information will be availible soon.
The 3rd. ICSR2010 International Conference follows on the highly successful 1st
ICSR2008 and 2nd ICSR2009 (Tabriz) International Conferences held in Iran. As
with the previous conferences, 3rd.ICSR2010 will aim at bringing together from
around the world academics, researchers and practitioners in the broad fields of
seismic retrofitting and structural engineering, to review recent achievements
in the advancement of knowledge and understanding in these areas, share the
latest developments, and address the challenges that the present and the future
pose. It is hoped that the cross fertilization between theory and practice that
is anticipated will promote a better understanding of structural behavior for
seismic retrofitting, facilitate more realistic material and structural
modeling, lead to the development and enhance the confidence of
structural-engineering practice.
The last conference (ICSR 2009) attracted close to 1350 delegates from 16
countries, and a total of 450 peer-reviewed papers and 900 abstract papers were
delivered. The forthcoming conference will be rather special in the sense that
it comes almost 10 years since the inaugural conference was held, and so will
provide a good opportunity to take stock of progress over the past decade on the
field of concrete, and to agree on priorities for the next decade.
The Organizing Committee for the 3rd International Conference on Seismic
Retrofitting (ICSR) would like to invite you to submit your abstracts related to
the retrofitting, bridge and lifeline engineering. The conference will be held
October 20-22, 2010, in Tabriz, Iran, and will provide a unique environment to
develop dialogue between Iranian scholars and other experts from around the
world. |
